Whats the most bhp can i get out of my 2004 Honda 2.4 i-vtec automatic k24a engine with out turbo or supercharger? I’m trying to stay away from ecu remaps to. Thanks
Remap is the way forward,as long as they are responsible and do not over work the engine.Don’t bother with K&N filters etc on a standard engine. Will just make it sound better without really improving performance.
Not much, and it would be very expensive.
Basically Honda are one of the world’s finest engine makers and if you go b*gg*ring about with it, you’ll cause problems.
A few grand on a remap, hotter cams and sports exhaust and air intake might get you another 20-30bhp at the expense of mpg and miles per engine.
If you wanted a fast car why did you buy a big automatic family saloon in the first place?

its a 4 door 4 cyl.. and has a spolier on the trunk
what year is it? any pictures
a ex always has more features then an lx
you could look up the features for its year and compare, the EX will have more features.or you could call Honda and give them the VIN, they will be able to tell you.
take the VIN number and go to carfax and look up your VIN number it will tell you if its a EX or LX for free. or you could look at the title and it tells you too.
What year is it?You can go on Wikipedia or a Honda forum to search and see the features you have with the EX or Lx.

mobile one that can also be used. With conventional oil I change it every4 k and with synthetic every 8k, I hear that even on synthetic oils ,that the addictives break down at 4-5 k and acid still attcks the engine. I have 112 000 kms on my car.
The recommended change interval on your car is every 6,000 miles or 10,000 kms using the standard oil.Unless you are doing heavy stop-and-go driving (such as a taxi service in a large city), towing heavy loads, or operating in very dusty conditions there’s no reason to change your oil so often. You’re not doing any harm, but you are wasting money. If you use synthetic oil you can safely add 50% the oil change interval once the warranty runs out.If you changed the filter every 6,000 miles or 10,000 kms, you could double the oil change interval and not worry.

I am assuming you are looking for tires for a Civic Si.If so, you should check to see if you are riding on 215/45-17 or 215/40-18 original equipment sized tires.Great choices in both sizes. Here are a few you may wish to consider:
Continental ExtremeContact DWS
Probably the best quality and best priced tire in the 215/45-17 size.Great performance and can even handle a good bit of ice and snow.$117 a tire on tirerack.com
Michelin Primacy MXM4
Got a little more cash? Then the MXM4 would be an outstanding choice at $157 a tire.Top notched performance, comfort and wear.
General Altimax HP
Need the best budget priced tire with outstanding quality? The General Altimax HP is hands down the best choice.Excellent grip both wet and dry.If you need to save a buck this is the one to get. Only $104 a tire.
Good luck!
same as came fitted on it

I am looking to buy a 1995 Honda civic coupe, and the people said they replaced the engine and the tranny. I believe the engine in it right now is a v6 for honda. But I don’t know if that is what originally came with a 95 honda civic, or if it was something else? And if thats not the orig. engine, how will it affect the gas mileage?
thanks
A V6?I don’t think so.If that is what is indeed stuffed in there now the owner did some major mods to get it to fit.1995 Civic DX and LX models used the D15B7 a 16 valve SOHC engine rated at 102 bhp (76 kW; 103 PS) and 98 ft

OOPS! The anti theft feature has disabled your radio. A Honda dealer can instruct you on how to make it functional again

You could try buying a used one off ebay, but that will be chancing it.It’s best to spend the money and get the real, correct copy from the dealer.

I am trying to swap my honda’s engines with with a prelude’s engine i just need to know what prelude year will fit my car.
My car is a 1990 honda accord ex, 2 door 4 cylinder car.
i think an h23 from 1995 will work but im not positive because ive never done a swap into an accord ive done an accord swap into a lude.
The H-series motors will fit…but require modification for the radiator bracket and also, you will not be able to use the stock mounts from either car (but there are so many companies that make aftermarket mounts now that you shouldn’t have a problem finding them).
If i remember correctly, there are also issues with A/C compressor clearance, but i can’t remember that for 100% certainty.
